Aqua Cast® TURBO is a ground breaking, eco-friendly, polymer-enhanced casting and moulding material designed for speed and ease. Faster setting than the original Aqua Cast®, this innovative formula eliminates the need for a separate liquid polymer – everything you need is fused into the powder. Just add water, mix, and pour to create stunning homeware, art, and craft creations.
We have fused the acrylic polymer additives into one ground breaking powder to make this easy to use eco resin. All mechanical properties normally found in a traditional powder and polymer mixture remain the same, giving Aqua Cast excellent cured strength.
It couldn't be easier, simply add water, mix and pour.
The guide mix ratio is 100 : 40 (100 parts powder to 40 parts water, or 2.5 : 1)
The user can change the water addition to create a lower or higher viscosity (runnier or thicker) to suit the individual application.

FAQ's
- Is Aqua Cast® TURBO weatherproof and waterproof? No, it is porous when cured. To render the item water resistant (e.g. for plant pots holding damp soil etc) we recommend our range of; hydroflow Sealers For external applications and those where the article will hold water (vases etc.) it will need to be sealed with a clear resin (e.g MasterCast 1-2-1) to be fully watertight.
- How hard and durable is Aqua Cast® TURBO? It is extremely tough and durable. Once cured Aqua Cast® TURBO cures to a hardness of 210 MPa (Brinell). The compressive strength is 40-44 Mpa when mixed in the guide ratio of 100:40.
- Will it fade with exposure to sunlight? No this product is 100% UV stable.
- Is it fire-resistant? Yes, Aqua Cast® TURBO does not self-ignite nor propagate flame. It is suitable for creating candle holders and fireplaces.
- Can Aqua Cast® TURBO be used with art resin? Yes it can, an interesting mix of finishes can be achieved in one piece of art using Eli-Chem totalCAST art resin and Aqua Cast® Eco Resin. Simply decide which medium to pour first and follow the guidelines for a second pour shown below. Both products are very easily coloured, the totalCAST can even have a clear or translucent finish. The limit to your creation is your imagination!

Mixing
Adding colour
Use any water based pigment e.g. resi-TINT acrylic inks, acrylic paints or mica powders, e.g. resi-TINT MAX Neon Powder.Any solid can be added, sand, mica, quartzite, dried shards of Aqua Cast® TURBO etc.
Mixing the powder
The desired viscosity & consistency can be controlled to suit the application. Alterations to the guide powder to water ratio will affect the product performance, particularly in terms of drying time. Measure the desired amount of water, add the corresponding quantity of powder gradually during mixing. For example:
- 100g powder to 40g/60ml water
- 150g powder to 60g/60ml water
- 200g powder to 80g/80ml water
- 300g powder to 120g/120ml water
The usable drying time is 3-5minutes when mixed and applied on a flat surface ( without the need to demould afterwards ) e.g to make Terrazzo chips, poured display art or layered work.
Mix by hand or with an electric mixing blade for 2-4 minutes until uniform and smooth. Add pigments at the mixing stage to obtain the desired colour shade. The mixed solution will rapidly become creamy and lump free, tap the mixing container to help remove trapped air.
Application
Immediately pour into your mould and allow to settle. Any residual bubbles can be popped by agitating or tapping the mould. Allow to harden for 15-20 minutes before demoulding (temperature and mix ratio dependent). Allow to dry for 24 hours to build maximum cured strength.
Pouring guidelines for mixing art resin and Aqua Cast® TURBO
When pouring Aqua Cast® Turbo onto previously poured resin, please ensure the resin has entered the gel phase but is not yet touch dry to allow the Aqua Cast® TURBO to adhere. This will vary depending upon depth and size of the mould. If you think you have missed the gel window, wait for the resin to dry, and thoroughly abrade to create a key before pouring Aqua Cast® TURBO.

I think and this is just not my opinion as all you have to do is go onto YouTube and a lot of crafters are raving about your product. You are definitely onto a winner with this turbo. I normally do paint pouring which I'm not sure if your aware but it takes a fair bit of patience which thankfully I have. My daughter\'s enjoyed making their coasters and a small vase. Thank you again for sending extra as it was all used. When doing this type of crafting again I know where I'll be buying from

I absolutely love Aqua Cast and use it as the main product when making gift and homeware to sell in my crafting business. I also do workshops and had to use an alternate eco resin in the past due to quicker setting times than the original Aqua Cast. However, now that Aqua Cast Turbo is available I have to say it is perfect for my workshops and I much prefer it to the alternate eco resin I was using - it\'s also cheaper! It is so simple to use, especially as most people in my workshop are just beginners, I will be continuing to use in the future and look forward to larger quantities becoming available. Thank you!
